Lactose intolerance is a condition in which the body does not have enough lactase enzyme to absorb lactose.

According to statistics, 70% of the world’s population suffers from lactose intolerance. In Vietnam, the rate of lactose intolerance is up to 80% of the population. Thus, out of 100 children, up to 80 children suffer from this condition depending on the severity.

Delictase® Oral Drops contains the main ingredient Lactase enzyme, extracted from Aspergillus Oryzae fungus. Delictase® Oral Drops helps break down lactose in milk into two simple sugars (glucose and galactose), thereby making it easier to digest and absorb through the intestines, reducing symptoms of lactose intolerance such as diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, vomiting, colic, etc.

Outstanding advantages of the product

1. Acts on the cause of lactose intolerance by hydrolyzing lactose in milk, making digestion easier.

2. Instant effect, no need to incubate with milk before use.

3. Can be used for babies from birth in drop form, can be used directly.

4. Can be used for both breast milk and formula milk.

5. Absolutely safe: No preservatives, no colorants, no flavorings, does not affect lactose in milk.

6. High lactase enzyme content, 45,000 ALU/bottle, equivalent to >3,000 ALU/ml.

Milk, infant formulas, breast milk, and dairy products all contain a complex sugar (disaccharide) called lactose. Lactase is the enzyme our bodies need to produce to break down the lactose in milk and dairy products into the simple sugars (monosaccharides) glucose and galactose. These can then be absorbed as part of the normal digestive process.

Infants and young children have problems with lactose intolerance due to causes such as:

  • Premature babies: Premature babies often lack the natural lactase enzyme, leading to a reduced ability to digest lactose.
  • Insufficient lactase enzyme production: The facility does not produce enough lactase enzyme to break down lactose, causing this sugar to not be metabolized and absorbed, leading to lactose intolerance. This condition can occur when the baby reduces the amount of milk containing lactose, leading to less lactase enzyme production.
  • Due to hyperinflation in the small intestine: Often occurs in young children when the small intestine is damaged by disease or surgery, leading to reduced production of lactase enzyme such as Celiac disease, infection of the small intestine, Crohn’s disease, abnormal growth of bacteria, viruses, etc.

Yes, Delictase® Oral Drops is considered safe for infants colic, lactose interlorance. It contains natural lactase enzyme derived from a fermentation process involving the fungus Aspergillus Oryzae. This preservative-free product offers a gentle solution for addressing infant colic.
